Silvia Verges

Silvia Verges has an extens experience teaching to dancers of all ages, levels and backgrounds, she has taught in many dance centres, institutes and professional associations and companies in Finland and abroad. Silvia graduated in Ballet from Institut del Teatre and also studied music at Conservatori del Liceu, Barcelona, Spain. Silvia has danced in Ballet de Euskadi. The National opera in Mexico and the National theater Mannheim in Germany as well as in Festivals and independent projects internationally. She also has a Master of Arts in Choreography from London Contemporary Dance School, Uk.
In her ballet classes, Silvia focuses on working on healthy alignment and searching for a better use of effort and breath, seeking to increase awareness and reduce tension. Silvia follows the traditional foundations of classical ballet technique but searches for various ways of combining secuences. She also emphasizes on the attention to musical aspects and working on the specific dynamic and quality of each step. Students have often refered Silvia’s classes to be very ’dancy’ because she creates an atmosphere that helps the students to execute the movements not only mechanically correct but also musically and expressive.
